At Simms Refrigeration & Repair, we are committed to your satisfaction. This Refund Policy outlines our practices regarding service guarantees, refunds, and how we handle customer concerns.
Service Guarantees
We stand behind our work with the following guarantees:
- Workmanship Warranty: All labor is backed by a 1-year warranty. If any repair we perform fails within 12 months under normal use, we will return to correct the issue at no additional charge.
- Parts Warranty: All parts installed are covered by manufacturer warranties, typically ranging from 1-10 years depending on the component.
- Satisfaction Guarantee: If you are not satisfied with our service for any reason, please contact us within 30 days and we will work to make it right.
Service Call Fees
Service call fees cover the cost of our technician arriving at your location, diagnosing the problem, and providing a written estimate. This fee is non-refundable as it covers the time and expertise spent evaluating your system.
If you proceed with repairs, the service call fee is typically applied toward the total cost of the work.
Refund Eligibility
Refunds may be available in the following circumstances:
- Prepaid Service Agreements: If you have prepaid for a service that has not been performed, you may request a full refund.
- Overcharges: If you are overcharged for any service, we will refund the difference.
- Cancelled Installations: For cancelled system installations where no work has begun, a full refund is available minus any non-refundable deposits.
Refund Process
To request a refund:

- Provide your name, service date, and reason for the refund request
- Allow 5-7 business days for us to review your request
- Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method
Installation Deposits
For new system installations, a deposit is required to reserve equipment and schedule your installation. This deposit is:
- Fully refundable if you cancel more than 48 hours before the scheduled installation
- 50% refundable if you cancel within 48 hours of installation
- Non-refundable if cancellation occurs after installation has begun
Emergency Service
Emergency services may have different terms due to the immediate nature of the work. All emergency service charges are non-refundable once the service is completed.
Disputed Charges
If you dispute a charge on your credit card or bank statement, please contact us first. We are committed to resolving any billing issues directly and efficiently.
Exchanges
In most cases, we can exchange parts or components if the original item is defective or if the wrong item was provided. Exchanges must be requested within 30 days of original service.
